MD-618555 is an ignition distributor cap used on Mitsubishi, Proton and related vehicle applications with conventional distributor-type ignition systems. Installed on top of the distributor, it routes high voltage from the ignition coil through the distributor rotor to the spark plugs in firing order. Common replacement versions have an approximately 102.5 mm housing diameter and use a bolted mounting design.
