A850X-12276BA is a Ford/Motorcraft-type ignition distributor cap for four-cylinder petrol engines. It mounts on top of the mechanical ignition distributor and distributes high voltage from the ignition coil to each spark plug according to the engine firing order. This type normally has five high-tension terminals, consisting of four spark-plug lead terminals and one central ignition-coil terminal.
